Allie is a junior at Penn State pursuing a B.S. in Psychology (neuroscience option). While there are many aspects of psychology that interest her, she is particularly fascinated by the contrast between abnormal psychology and positive psychology. After graduation she plans to attend medical school with hopes of specializing in either psychiatry or internal medicine. Outside of the lab, Allie enjoys cooking, working out, and spending time with friends.

Fengyi Ding

Fengyi is a senior pursuing a B.A. in psychology. He is interested in clinical and counseling psychology as well as personality disorders. After graduation, he plans to get his master’s degree and try to get a PhD in clinical or counseling psychology in order to ultimately practice as a licensed therapist. Outside the lab, he enjoys running, reading, collecting sneakers, and singing.

Brianna Gangl

Brianna is a sophomore at Penn State, pursuing a B.S. in Psychology. She is interested in cognitive and abnormal psychology. After graduating, she hopes to get her Ph.D. in a topic that is suited to her interests and hopefully run her very own research lab someday. Out of the lab, Brianna enjoys hanging out with friends, skiing, playing softball, and working out.

Shakambari Ramanathan

Shaka is a sophomore at Penn State pursuing a B.S. in Psychology (Neuroscience Option) and minoring in Biology. Her interests include the causes and development of mood and personality disorders, psychotherapy, and ethnic minority issues related to psychological health. After graduating, Shaka plans on attending medical school in order to pursue a career in Adolescent Psychiatry. Outside of the lab, she enjoys creating metal art, reading, and spending time with her friends.

Samantha Treff

Samantha is a junior pursuing a B.A. in Psychology with minors in French and Child Maltreatment. After graduation she plans to attend graduate school to obtain a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology with a focus in children. Her main research interests are anxiety, personality, and mood disorders. In her free time, she enjoys photography, travelling, cooking, and hanging out with friends!

Vafoline Tulay

Vafoline is a Junior majoring in Psychology (with the option of Neuroscience) whilst on a PreMedicine track. Her interests lie in abnormal psychology specifically in: trauma-related disorders (with children and adolescents), personality disorders, and substance-abuse disorder. After graduating from The Pennsylvania State University, she plans on attending Medical School with the goal of obtaining a career in psychiatry. Outside of school, Vafoline enjoys traveling, going to the gym, going to concerts and festivals, and spending time with her family and friends.
