Thomas is a sixth-year student in the Clinical Psychology program. He completed a bachelor's degree (B.S) in psychology at the University of Georgia and a master's degree (M.A) in general psychology at CUNY Hunter College in New York City, where his thesis focused on risk behaviors for HIV. Before starting at Penn State, Thomas spent over three years working at Emory University School of Medicine on two large research studies of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among patients in the clinics and emergency department of Grady Memorial Hospital. There he developed further interests in trauma, emotion regulation, and attachment. In his free time, Thomas enjoys playing guitar, traveling, and hiking.
