Abigail Rasol

First-Year Graduate Student

Biography

Abi is a first-year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology doctoral program at Penn State. Originally from New Jersey, Abi completed most of her undergraduate education in Psychology and Political Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and received her B.A. from Montclair State University. As an undergrad and post-bacc, Abi worked as a research assistant in the Laboratory for Personality, Psychopathology, and Psychotherapy as well as Dr. Ben Johnson’s Treatment and Assessment of Personality Pathology (TAPP) lab. Abi also started and continues to host the Carlat Psychotherapy Podcast of the Carlat Psychiatry Report. Abi’s research interests primarily center around Transference-Focused Psychotherapy for Borderline, Narcissistic and Antisocial personality disorders, and the role of identity integration in the treatment of personality pathology.
Abi enjoys exploring the outdoors, reading (especially memoirs), walking and running with her dog, and rock climbing.
